2017 World Adventure Golf Masters and World Minigolf Champs

This year the Mini Blacks are gearing up for a double-feature at the World Minigolf Federation's 2017 World Adventure Golf Masters and Minigolf World Championships in Croatia.

The two events are a week apart in the same city, making it a great opportunity to compete in two world-recognised minigolf competitions in one trip!

This year's Adventure Golf Masters, will be played on a MOS ("Minigolf Open System") course.  2016 and 2017's courses in particular are characterised by lanes (holes) that resemble smaller-scale putting greens with more 'natural' obstacles such as ridges and bunkers and a noticeable lack of barriers.

Conversely, the Minigolf World Championships will be played on Feltgolf and Miniaturegolf category courses.  While many parts of the world consider these types of courses more traditional miniature golf, most Kiwis find Feltgolf, Miniaturegolf and Concrete quite unfamiliar.  The courses are more pre-set and often played with an assortment of different minigolf balls.

Take a look at the WMF site for more information about the four categories of Miniature Golf courses.
